Position Overview

Trading Analysts support the execution and optimization of trading strategies across various asset classes including equities, fixed income, and derivatives. These roles often involve collaboration with senior traders, portfolio managers, and research teams. As a Trading Analyst at Initio Capital, you will analyze market trends, assist with trade execution, manage real-time data, and provide insight into market conditions that support trading decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of global financial markets, including monitoring macroeconomic indicators, financial news, and asset movements to identify trading opportunities.
  • Trade Execution: Assist in executing trades efficiently across multiple asset classes while ensuring compliance with firm guidelines and strategies.
  • Data Modeling: Build financial models and use quantitative analysis to support trade recommendations and improve trade execution strategies.
  • Risk Management Support: Monitor trade positions and market risk, supporting the development of risk management strategies to minimize exposure.
  • Real-time Decision Making: Provide on-the-ground support for real-time trading decisions, responding to market changes and news events to adapt strategies as needed.
  • Performance Tracking: Track and report the performance of trading strategies, assessing profitability and identifying areas for improvement in execution.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and trading strategies (including equities, fixed income, and derivatives)
  • Familiarity with quantitative analysis, statistical models, and trading algorithms
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or other financial modeling and data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with trading platforms (Bloomberg Terminal, Reuters Eikon, or others) and financial data sources
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments, make quick decisions, and handle time-sensitive tasks with accuracy
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear trade recommendations and market analysis
