GRMC Garrett Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled tradesperson to perform a broad range of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks on hospital renovation and new construction projects.

You will read blueprints, install and terminate wiring, rough in plumbing, and install HVAC ductwork while adhering to Life Safety codes and infection control practices. Requires basic carpentry and knowledge of safety standards; 40-hour week with potential overtime.

Qualifications

  • Completion of curriculum from a trade or vocational school.
  • License or certification in Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, or HVAC.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks on renovation and new construction projects.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and equipment specifications.
  • Follow Life Safety codes and infection control practices in hospital environments.
  • Interact effectively with employees at all levels and work safely in facilities.
  • Lift up to 75 pounds and work on ladders, scaffolds, or lifts as required.

Completion of educational curriculum from a trade or vocational school.2. Must be capable of reading and interpreting construction drawings and detailed specialty equipment installation specifications.3. Must be knowledgeable of safe construction practices.4. Must be knowledgeable of Life Safety codes5. Must be knowledgeable of Infection control practices as they relate to construction and renovation work in the hospital environment.6.
