LHH is assisting an internationally recognized law firm specializing in Intellectual Property in its search for a Senior Trademark Prosecution Associate/Counsel in New York. The ideal candidate will manage US trademark portfolios and counsel clients on trademark and copyright issues, including clearance, prosecution, and maintenance.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, NY bar admission, and a background at a top law firm.

Qualifications

• At least 7+ years of trademark/copyright experience.
• Experience at a top law firm is preferred.
• Admitted to the New York bar is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage US trademark portfolios and advise clients on US trademark and copyright issues.
• Handle US trademark clearance, prosecution, and maintenance matters.
• Draft licenses and coexistence agreements; participate in IP due diligence for major transactions.

An ideal candidate will have at least 7+ years of experience working in a dynamic and well-rounded trademark/copyright practice, including experience dealing with issues related to management of US trademark portfolios, counseling clients on US trademark and copyright issues, handling US trademark clearance, prosecution, and maintenance matters, drafting relevant agreements including licenses and coexistence agreements, and working on due diligence projects concerning IP aspects of major corporate transactions. The firm is known for offering excellent work/life balance (1700 billables) and a collegial work environment. This is a hybrid position, requiring two days in the office each week.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant trademark/copyright experience
• Experience at a top law firm and excellent academic credentials
• Admitted to the New York bar
