• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
• 2+ years of substantive experience in trademark and copyright litigation and counseling.
• Strong trial experience and comfort with fast-paced, high-volume practices.
• AmLaw 100 firm experience strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Counsel clients on development, protection, commercialization, licensing, and enforcement of trademark and copyright assets.
• Advise clients on trademark clearance, prosecution strategies, and portfolio management.
• Handle trademark and copyright disputes and litigation matters as needed.
• Provide guidance on ownership, licensing, and fair use issues.
• Draft and negotiate IP provisions in commercial and corporate transactions.
• Conduct legal research and prepare motions, briefs, memoranda, agreements, and client communications.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering strategic, business-focused counsel.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups to develop innovative client solutions.
• Remain current on developments in trademark, copyright, media, and IP law.

A top-10 AmLaw firm is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its nationally recognized Trademark, Copyright & Media Practice Group in its California offices. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with litigation and trial experience in intellectual property matters to represent high-profile clients in complex disputes and counseling matters. The role offers significant client contact, diverse casework, and a collaborative environment within a flexible hybrid model.

The ideal candidate will have experience counseling clients on trademark and copyright matters, managing intellectual property portfolios, and supporting enforcement and litigation strategies. This role offers significant client contact, sophisticated work, and the opportunity to collaborate with an internationally recognized intellectual property team serving clients across the media, entertainment, technology, and consumer product sectors.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
• 2+years of substantive experience in trademark & copyright litigation and counseling.
• Strong trial experience and comfort with fast-paced, high-volume practices.
• Experience with:
  • Trademark clearance and prosecution strategy.
  • Trademark portfolio management.
  • Trademark and copyright ownership matters.
  • Licensing and fair use issues.
  • Protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights.
  • Intellectual property provisions in commercial and corporate transactions.
• AmLaw Experience: Relevant experience at an AmLaw 100 firm is strongly preferred.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional writing, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities; client-first mindset; excellent communication and organizational skills; and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Compensation: Annual base salary is expected to range from $200,000 – $310,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors. Discretionary bonus opportunities are also available.
