2 years of trademark and copyright counseling and litigation is required, plus strong writing and advocacy skills. The role offers high-profile disputes, client contact, and a path that supports either partnership-track ambitions or non-partnership

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier, nationally recognized law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active California Bar Admission, in good standing.
• 2 years of substantive trademark and copyright counseling and litigation experience.
• Experience with ownership, licensing, and fair use provisions in transactions.
• AmLaw 100 firm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex trademark and copyright litigation, including trial work.
• Provide strategy, enforcement, risk management and media law compliance counsel.
• Assist in investigating, prosecuting, and defending advertising and unfair competition claims.
• Draft and argue motions, prepare discovery responses, and manage trial prep.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to develop case strategies.

A top-10 AmLaw firm is seeking a talentedJunior Associate Attorney or (OPTIONAL) to join its nationally recognized Trademark, Copyright & Media Practice Group inone of these California offices: San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Silicon Valley . This is an excellent opportunity for a junior associate looking for partnership track or a junior to senior attorney looking for a non-partnership track position representing high-profile clients in complex disputes and counseling matters. The role offers significant client contact, diverse casework, and a collaborative environment within a flexible hybrid model.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier, nationally recognized law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
• 2 years of substantive experience withtrademark & copyright counseling and litigation, trademark clearance, prosecution strategy, and portfolio management.
• Experience with trademark and copyright ownership, licensing, and fair use Intellectual property provisions in commercial and corporate transactions.
• Applicable prior AmLaw 100 law firm preferred
• Strong analytical and legal writing skills. Demonstrated oral and written advocacy communication skills; Research and problem-solving skills.
• Soft Skills: Attention to detail; Demonstrated ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice; Ability to manage multiple matters and client relationships in a fast-paced environment; Excellent organizational skills; Ability to work collaboratively and independently; Conceptual thinking; Ability to influence others; Persuasive communication; Management skills.
