Job summary

CenterPoint is looking for a skilled Builder to fabricate trade show booths and related exhibits. You will perform custom cabinetmaking, read shop drawings, and safely operate woodshop tools while handling diverse materials to deliver visually striking, functional displays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical degree or related apprenticeship is beneficial but not required.
• Two years of experience in construction, cabinet making, or home improvement required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Strong carpentry and cabinet-making knowledge.
• Detail oriented with accuracy and quality.
• Clear, effective communication skills.
• Tradeshow/building experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand shop drawings to construct exhibit structures and crates.
• Safely operate woodshop tools and work with materials like lumber, plywood, MDF, acrylic, metal, laminates.
• Compute measurements using basic math.
• Join components with KD fasteners.
• Develop cut sheets for material efficiency.
• Complete layout and construction of shipping crates within timelines.
• Adhere to production estimates to manage time.
• Test-fit exhibit components for proper fit and function.
• Document timecards and material usage clearly.
• Collaborate with team and follow direction.
• Uphold CenterPoint values in daily work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
