Job summary

Phaxis is seeking a Trade Settlement Specialist to process and review U.S. trade transactions through the DTCC, ensuring timely settlement under T+1 requirements. You will maintain accurate customer accounts, affirm trades with brokers, and resolve settlement issues.

The role emphasizes data accuracy, daily reporting, and collaboration with clients to address missing information and messaging challenges, with opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or 1+ years of experience in banking, securities, or financial operations.
• Basic understanding of financial markets and trade settlement processes.
• Familiarity with DTCC and U.S. securities settlement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and settle trades while maintaining accurate customer account information.
• Ensure trades are properly affirmed with brokers and completed within required settlement deadlines.
• Process trades requiring manual enrichment and resolve missing or incomplete data.
• Prepare and review daily reports and perform transaction reconciliations.
• Research and resolve settlement fails, escalating issues to management as appropriate.
• Communicate with clients regarding missing information, settlement requirements, and messaging issues.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy while identifying opportunities to improve operational processes and efficiency.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
