Job summary

Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. is seeking an experienced trade operations professional in Los Angeles to lead booking and settlement across a diverse portfolio.

You will coordinate with portfolio management, trading, and custodians to ensure accurate processing and timely settlements, while driving STP improvements and helping integrate Brookfield PSG workflows. The role requires 5-7 years in investment operations, with familiarity in CTM/ALERT/SWIFT/FIX/VCON, and a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of investment operations experience across derivative instruments and multi-asset trade settlement.
• Experience with trade utilities and protocols such as CTM, ALERT, SWIFT, FIX, and VCON.
• Strong analytical capabilities and ability to drive data-driven improvements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary trade operations contact for multiple credit strategies and bookings.
• Provide operational support across trade processing workflows and integration initiatives.
• Communicate with traders, accounting, and custodians to resolve trade issues promptly.
• Monitor trade lifecycle and ensure timely settlements and compliance with deadlines.
• Lead end-to-end processing of bespoke settlement transactions and resolve escalated exceptions.
• Partner with technology to define requirements and test new system capabilities.
