Job summary

Equinor is seeking a Trade Desk Analyst to join our global trading teams in Houston. You will build, update and maintain supply/demand models and dashboards, analyzing price movements in North American crude markets and supporting real-time data needs for traders.

The role emphasizes collaboration, data-driven decision making, and compliance with safety and ethics standards. A finance or data analytics background and 2+ years in markets are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, data management, data analytics, engineering or another relevant field.
• Ideally, 2+ years of relevant experience related to commodity markets, market analysis or data analytics.
• A commercial mindset and a good understanding of commodity markets, particularly North American oil markets.
• Quantitative analytical skills are desirable.
• A team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Apply digital tools and techniques to enhance model robustness, capability, and integration.
• Strengthen the technical model framework and automated data scraping while preserving the integrity of model data.

What does the job involve?

The Trade Desk Analyst is working with the trading teams to provide timely and relevant information and models that support the team's trading strategies for both physical and financial activities. You are utilizing your knowledge independently to solve highly complex tasks with a short to medium-term outlook. You independently communicate within the immediate team, across other trade desks, and towards other key Equinor stakeholders. You promote change initiatives, demonstrate flexibility to adopt new highly complex activities/ways of working and advise others. You follow and comply with safety, ethics, and compliance requirements and align with leadership expectations and company values.

What will my tasks be?
