Job summary

Ameriprise Financial is seeking a Trade Corrections Expert to support client accounts and ensure accurate, timely trade resolutions across multiple product lines. You will research, analyze, and correct activity in mutual funds, equities, options, fixed income, and managed accounts.

You will act as a subject matter expert, guiding team members, helping develop SOPs, and driving process improvements while collaborating with Compliance, Legal, and external partners to meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (4-year program) required.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and Online Brokerage platform requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the team’s trade correction expert and complete case work within SLAs.
  • Review and correct trading activity across equities, mutual funds, options, fixed income, and managed accounts.
  • Resolve market correction cases, including escalated trade disputes.
  • Partner with Compliance and Legal on issues related to trading activity.
  • Communicate resolutions, policies, and guidance to advisors, clients, and brokerage representatives.
  • Monitor inventory accounts, review reports, and make necessary corrections.
  • Research and resolve trade issues by working with internal and external business partners.
  • Manage daily work bins and case queues, prioritizing high-volume workflows.

Job Description

Join a dynamic, high-performing Operations team dedicated to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and timely resolution of trading activity across all product lines. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting client accounts, enhancing advisor experiences, reducing operational risk, and ensuring overall trade quality.

As a Trade Corrections Expert, you will manage complex, case-based work driven by business needs and sourced from multiple areas across the firm. You will research, analyze, and correct trade activity involving mutual funds, equities, options, fixed income, cash transactions, and managed accounts using a variety of internal systems and tools. Serving as a subject matter expert, you will handle escalated and complex cases, provide guidance to team members, contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures, and identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency. You will also partner closely with internal stakeholders and external organizations to investigate issues, resolve discrepancies, and ensure all trade corrections are completed accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements and firm standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the team’s trade correction expert and complete case work within SLAs.

  • Manage daily work bins and case queues, prioritizing high-volume workflows.
  • Analyze trends, identify root causes of trade errors, and recommend process improvements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (4‑year program).
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant education and work experience may be combined to meet minimum requirements.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets.
  • Thorough knowledge of Phase 3 and the Online Brokerage platform.
  • Prior experience in operations, processing, or customer service.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to research and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Professional communication skills when working with internal teams and advisors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of systems including Thomson, BETA, COLA, APL, NICE, ACCESS, DocX, and SSD.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with trading activity, options, and operational processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • SIE and Series 7 licenses.
Base Pay Salary

The base salary is $54,400-81,600 and maybe varyvary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
