Ericsson is shaping the future of enterprise connectivity. Within Business Area Enterprise Wireless Solutions (BEWS), we are building a differentiated enterprise networking and security portfolio and scaling a global multi-channel go-to-market strategy. We are looking for a Trade Compliance Manager to help ensure our import and export operations meet U.S. and international regulatory requirements while supporting business growth, operational efficiency, and a strong culture of compliance.

This is an opportunity for an experienced trade compliance professional to play a key role in managing import and export compliance activities, advising stakeholders across the business, and strengthening processes that support a global supply chain.

What you will do
  • Lead and support trade compliance activities across U.S. import operations and broader international import/export transactions.
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on customs, import, export, classification, country of origin, free trade agreement, and related trade compliance matters.
  • Manage and maintain product classifications, including Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) determinations.
  • Partner with suppliers, brokers, logistics providers, and internal teams to help ensure accurate and compliant cross-border transactions.
  • Monitor imports, identify shipment or customs-related issues, and drive timely resolution to minimize delays and business disruption.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of import and export documentation, entries, and supporting records to identify discrepancies, reduce risk, and improve controls.
  • Support broker management activities, including entry review, audit coordination, and ongoing operational alignment.
  • Help develop, implement, and improve trade compliance processes, work instructions, and internal controls.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and training to teams across legal, finance, supply chain, logistics, operations, procurement, and product development.
  • Perform tariff, trade remedy, and free trade agreement analysis, including rules of origin and related certification support.
  • Support Importer Security Filing and other U.S. Customs and Border Protection requirements, as applicable.
  • Assist with CTPAT and other security or compliance program activities, including documentation and process support.
  • Maintain required compliance records, customs-related documentation, and applicable customs bonds.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and recommendations for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Assess trade-related risks and **escalate** key issues with clear recommendations.
  • Support special projects and other compliance-related responsibilities as needed.
The skills you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in international trade, logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs compliance, import/export operations, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. import regulations, customs procedures, and global trade compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with HTS classification and a solid understanding of ECCN classification and export control requirements.
  • Knowledge of free trade agreements and rules of origin, with particular familiarity in USMCA preferred.
  • Experience managing import operations across air, ocean, and ground transportation.
  • Ability to interpret regulations, assess risk, and translate requirements into practical business guidance.
  • Experience conducting audits, reviewing records, and strengthening compliance controls.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong overall Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Experience working with ERP and trade systems such as SAP, SAP GTS, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Experience with process automation, Power BI, or Power Automate is a plus.
