Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a qualified Analyst for Trade Compliance based in Benton Harbor, MI. The role is onsite five days a week and reports to the Senior Manager Trade Compliance.

Responsibilities include assessing tariff and trade risk, collaborating with procurement and engineering, and ensuring compliance with import/export regulations across the US and Canada. A Bachelor's degree and data/project management experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ months of experience in data management or project management.
• Licensed Customs Broker preferred.
• Proficiency in Trade Compliance Software & Tools.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Strong proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office.
• Project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess potential risks related to US tariffs, quotas, and trade agreements and support action plans with cross-functional teams.
• Understand global impact on Whirlpool regions based on retaliatory actions from other countries.
• Engage with Procurement, Supply Chain, Government Relations and Engineering with reporting to Sr Leadership.
• Support accurate financial reporting (Outlook, P4G, Profit Planning, Financial Close).
• Partner with Engineering and GSS to ensure new parts are compliant on Day 1 and improve governance.
• Drive process improvement on monthly accruals.
• Conduct regular internal audits and assessments of trade compliance practices to identify risks and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with US/Canadian import/export laws and prepare, review, and submit declarations and documents.
