Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5-9 years of experience in import/export regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of ITAR, EAR and 19 CFR rules.
  • Ability to interpret and apply trade regulations with accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Trade Compliance for Imports and Exports; handle day-to-day tasks and strategic process improvements.
  • Work with SAP, e2open, and MS Excel for shipment analysis and reporting.
  • Provide data and reports on compliance function performance.
  • Review inbound and outbound shipments for import compliance.
  • Ensure supply chain and regulatory compliance, including C‑TPAT and EU AEO.
  • Represent logistics in internal and external audits.
  • Troubleshoot logistics issues affecting compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain day-to-day projects and post-entry audit of Customs documents.

Global Trade Compliance Analyst will interpret International Trade Regulations and apply them as necessary; provide guidance and requirements to personnel concerning international trade regulations; ensure proper use of export authorizations (licenses/agreements, exemptions, exceptions, etc.); determine and document classification designation for parts, equipment, and technology; complete required recordkeeping; maintain knowledge of and stays current on regulatory changes; and review contracts for global trade requirements. Responsible for all divisions under the 3001-company code. Process all export orders as well as import & export transportation duties.

The position plays a critical role in managing increased administrative and audit demands driven by evolving trade regulations, expanded tariff programs, and heightened customs reporting requirements. The role is execution-oriented, detail-driven, and essential to sustaining compliant import operations at scale.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Trade Compliance for Imports and Exports; including day-to-day tasks for specific shipments/workflows, as well as strategic planning to improve processes, programs, and systems for improved compliance and business efficiency.
  • Work with multiple software systems such as SAP, e2open, Microsoft (especially excel), government systems (ACE, etc. websites, etc. for shipment analysis as well as business analytics/reporting.
  • Provide data and reports regarding the performance of compliance functions within the business unit
  • Review inbound & outbound shipping to ensure import compliance
  • Review business unit practices ensuring supply chain security compliance, including adherence to C-TPAT, EU AEO, and other internal/external regulatory requirements based on customer needs
  • Represent the logistics and supply chain function in internal and external compliance audits
  • Trouble-shoot logistics issues to obtain results: compliance, transportation and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain day-to-day projects of varying scopes
  • Perform post-entry audit of Customs entry documents for proper HTS classification, value, and quantity
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) National Accounts Manager.
  • Engage internal and external suppliers to collect, validate, and provide Section 232 steel and aluminum compliance data, including HTS classification, country of origin, steel melt and pour, aluminum smelt and cast information, manufacturer records, and supporting documentation, while coordinating with cross-functional teams and customs brokers to ensure accurate duty assessment, CBP compliance, and timely customs clearance.
  • Assist in the review of new products and determine the proper HTS classification.
  • Collect supporting documentation required for classification and maintain records for future reference.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Trade Compliance Manual and when applicable, updating policies and procedures contained within.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Operations, Business Administration or other applicable fields
Knowledge / training:
  • Supply Chain certification is a plus to the position
  • Experienced with Federal Trade Commission country of origin
  • An advanced understanding of international business, logistics and supply chain functions, trade compliance (Export and Import) rules and regulations. 19CFR and ability to interpret and apply the rules and regulations set forth therein
  • Advanced knowledge of international trade regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and U.S. Customs regulations (ACE system).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills, multitasking, and problem-solving, maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. It must be an individual with a customer service orientation.
Experience:

5-9 years of experience in work directly related to import/export regulations.
