Job summary

FedEx is seeking a truck driver to operate a tractor-trailer and handle mechanized loading/unloading at various locations in Cleveland, OH. The role requires maintaining safety standards and good customer service.

Minimum education is a High School Diploma or GED. Candidates should be at least 21, able to read and communicate in English, and prepared for medical and random drug testing as part of FMCSA regulations.

Six (6) months FedEx Express experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to drive manual transmission preferred. Ability to operate mechanized loading/GSE. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 Lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Customer contact & package handling experience preferred. Good human relations & verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is involved. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

FMCSA covered safety sensitive position. Medical exam required. Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing, which includes testing for marijuana, pcp, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must obtain & maintain valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) & a hazardous materials endorsement (HME) for type of vehicle assigned & have good driving record as outlined in policy. Neat appearance since customer contact is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Pay Transparency: - This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary - information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $26.35 - $35.54

Additional Details: $26.35 per hour plus benefits, must be able to travel for extended company sponsored training and ensure their MVR is self-certified as non-excepted interstate.
