Job summary

UPS is seeking a Driver/Dockworker to perform loading, unloading, pickup, and delivery of shipments across residential and commercial locations. A valid CDL is required, HazMat endorsement preferred, and duties may include operating a tractor-trailer unit within the same shift.

This role involves working days, nights and/or weekends, with emphasis on safety and customer service; DOT physicals and background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

This position could involve driving a tractor-trailer unit to one or more customer locations and returning to the original domicile during the same shift. Driver/Dockworkers work days, nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking packages and may utilize heavy machinery to complete tasks.
• This position delivers and picks up packages to and from residential and/or commercial properties.
• He/She utilizes safe transportation methods to get to and from destinations.
• This position ensures the best customer service through efficiency and dedication.
• He/She leverages technology to effectively aid in delivery services.
• This position involves the timely pickup, labeling, loading and delivery of shipments, using the required equipment, policies and procedures.
• This position could involve driving a tractor-trailer unit to one or more customer locations and returning to the original domicile during the same shift.
• Driver/Dockworkers work days, nights and/or weekends.
• Valid CDL license (commercial driver's license) in home state.
• HazMat endorsement.
• Pass a UPS road test, a DOT physical including a drug screen and all necessary background checks.
• Utilize various pieces of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including pallet movers and stand-up forklifts to load/unload palletized freight.
• The ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Driver/Dockworker is expected to comply with UPS appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided uniform.
