Job summary

Prime, Inc. is seeking full-time diesel mechanics to maintain our heavy truck fleet and ensure reliable service across our operations. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment, perform DOT inspections, and use welding tools as needed.

Training will begin during the day, with an overnight shift schedule that supports family time and strong overtime opportunities. The role requires lifting up to 100 lbs, valid driver's license, and the ability to acquire basic hand tools through the

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair Prime’s equipment


• Use some welding and cutting tools to repair, modify or adjust parts


• Perform DOT Inspections


• This job works with heavy equipment, so you’ll need to be able to lift and carry 100lbs and push and pull 50lbs

Shifts

Overnight shift

Schedule is Wednesday - Saturday 6:00pm-6:00am (every other Wednesday off)

Training will be during day shift.

This schedule means you work 78 days less than your typical Monday - Friday job, which allows you to spend more time with your family & friends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); OR mechanical experience


• You must be able to acquire basic hand tools and a toolbox by the end of the training period. We offer a tool program for up to $1,500 in free tools for new hires with a 2 year commitment to Prime.


• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record


• Tractor mechanic, diesel mechanic, HVAC, lube technician or automotive technician experience would be great, but not needed.
