Position Details

Location: Based in Mulberry, FL

Starting Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour + Per Diem while traveling

Job Description

Join Road & Rail Services and utilize your heavy equipment skills on the tracks. We are hiring a Track Worker/Equipment Operator for our traveling maintenance crew, based out of Mulberry, FL. When not traveling, you will report to the Mulberry site.

This role involves hands-on work installing, repairing, and maintaining railroad tracks and right-of-way. Candidates should be experienced with heavy equipment and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery such as excavators, backhoes, tampers, and spikers
  • Replace ties and rails, cut and adjust rail lengths, clear vegetation
  • Lubricate switch components and organize materials on-site
  • Participate in safety meetings and job briefings
Requirements
  • Heavy equipment experience (required)
  • Railroad track maintenance experience (highly preferred)
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Ability to work on your feet in a physical environment
  • At least 18 years old, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly pay starts at $20.00, with consideration for experience. Per Diem is provided while traveling. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays and vacation, disability coverage, boot allowance, and PPE.
