Job summary

Union Pacific Corporation is seeking a Track Laborer - Driver Eligible in The Dalles, OR. Join a team maintaining and building rail tracks for North America, with CDL requirements and stringent safety standards.

You will work outdoors to unload materials, operate heavy equipment, and perform maintenance tasks while complying with FMCSA and FRA guidelines. Training and certification will be pursued during probation.

Qualifications

• Age 21+ required.
• CDL Class A or B required.
• Ability to pass PAT and medical requirements.
• Experience with railroad maintenance of way desirable.
• Proficiency with operating heavy equipment.
• Welding experience or certificate advantageous.
• Commitment to safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Handle, unload and move track materials and equipment.
• Remove and replace rails, anchors, spikes, ballast and ties.
• Work with equipment, dig holes and trenches as needed.
• Observe track conditions for issues or defects and report.
• Follow safety rules and FRA regulations and maintain safe operations.
• Develop positive relationships with coworkers and customers.
