Job summary

BEST Crowd Management is seeking an experienced Part-Time Event Manager to oversee event staff at Toyota Center for Houston Rockets games, concerts, and special events.

You will supervise staff, coordinate operations, assist with guest services and security, and serve as a primary contact between staff, management, and venue representatives. Evening and weekend coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience in events, sports, entertainment, hospitality, or security preferred.
• NBA/arena/stadium/concert experience a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays availability.
• Must pass required background and drug screening.
• Valid Level 2 security license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-event meetings and communicate assignments and expectations.
• Monitor staff performance, coverage, and professionalism.
• Assist with guest entry, crowd management, and event operations.
• Monitor access points and assist with security screening procedures.

• Coordinate with venue management, law enforcement, and emergency personnel when necessary.
• Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout the event.
• Complete incident reports and required event documentation.
• Help ensure compliance with Toyota Center and BEST policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership during emergencies and unexpected situations.

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Job Type: Part-Time / Event-Based

Schedule: Evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and event-based schedules

Position Overview

BEST, A GardaWorld Company, is seeking professional and experienced Event Managers to oversee event staff and support the safe and successful execution of Houston Rockets games, concerts, and special events at Toyota Center.
