Job summary

Lighthouse Lab Services in Carrollton, TX is seeking a qualified Laboratory Scientist to join our team of Metrology Specialists. You will create reagent components used in patient testing, calibrate materials, and ensure precision and accuracy across LCMS processes.

The role involves various duties from creating calibration stocks to COA generation, RNA/DNA extraction, and charging in quality documentation. Onsite work with a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry/Biology/MLS or related).
• Minimum of 2 years in a clinical laboratory.
• Precision pipetting skills are a must!
• Medical Technologist Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create LCMS Validation materials (Sample Comparison, Matrix Effects, Interference Study).
• Create Stocks, Calibrators, and QC used on the LCMS.
• Create Internal Standards and Specialty recipes for clients.
• Manufacture validation materials and controls for Molecular and Infectious Disease panels.
• Maintain Quality documents for the laboratory.
• Run lot to lot verification on new lots of reagents.
• Create COA for each lot of controls.
• Extract RNA/DNA using automated methods.
• Order supplies and handle shipments of standards.
• Collaborate with Quality and DA/DR teams to ensure standards pass.
