Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled ER RN for a 6-week travel assignment in Towson, MD. The ER RN delivers rapid-response, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ED, triaging and treating critically ill patients under pressure.

Qualifications include 1 year ER RN experience, active RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS (or ENPC), with preferred TNCC/NIHSS/CPI/NRP/SANE. Benefits include comprehensive medical, vision, PTO after 1560 hours, 401(k), and 24/7 recruiter support.

Qualifications

• One year of ER RN experience.
• Active RN license per state regulations.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS/ENPC certifications.
• Preferred: TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP and SANE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity.
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per emergency nursing protocols.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during emergency treatments and examinations.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the ED stay.
• Observe and document patient conditions within scope of practice.
• Take and monitor vital signs with clinical judgment.
• Respond to life-saving situations per nursing standards and protocols.
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR.
• Initiate patient education plans considering acute emergency care needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, paramedics, social workers and staff for comprehensive care.
• Perform other duties within scope of practice.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
