Alamon, Inc. seeks a Tower Technician Level 1 for its Wireless Service department. This entry-level role focuses on installation, maintenance and repair of wireless infrastructure on towers, rooftops, and other elevated structures. Active NWSA certification and ability to travel are required.

You will support a crew, follow safety protocols, and learn rigging and hoisting operations while growing in a nationwide, employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment background check, drug test and driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record in past 5 years.
• Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally.
• Active NWSA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist installation, assembly and maintenance of wireless equipment on towers and rooftops.
• Safely transport tools and equipment to and from the worksite.
• Set up and operate rigging, winches and hoisting equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and government regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with team to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Report tool damages and ensure PPE is worn at all times.

This position entails: assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of wireless communication infrastructure on cell phone towers, rooftops, and other elevated structures. This is an entry-level position. This position requires an active NWSA (National Wireless Safety Alliance) certification and the ability to travel.

Job Description

• Assist in the installation, assembly and maintenance of wireless communication equipment including antennas, cables, and related components.
• Safely handle and transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from the worksite.
• Assist with the setup and operation of rigging, winches, and hoisting equipment.
• Learn and adhere to safety protocols and guidelines set forth by the company and government regulations.
• Assist in routine maintenance checks, inspections and troubleshooting to identify any potential issues.
• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Assist in cleaning, organizing and maintenance of tools to ensure they are in proper working condition.
• Report damages and malfunctioning tools and equipment for repair and replacement.
• Adhere to industry standards, regulations, and safety procedures per government and company regulations.
• Work as part of a crew and communicate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth operation.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.
• Perform other job-duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Qualifications

• Must pass the pre-employment screening process which includes a background check, drug test and motor vehicle records pull.
• Have the ability and mentality to work outdoors, in a physically demanding work environment and all-weather conditions, lifting or moving up to 50lbs., and hiking over various terrain.
• Possess a current and valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no DUI / DWIs within the past 5 years.
• Be available to work nights and weekends as required by project demands.
• Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required.

Work Environment

• This position will work outdoors, year-round, in all weather conditions, and on varying terrain. May work for long periods in hot, cold, wet, windy, or icy conditions.
• Exposure to dust, odors, gases, vapors, wet or slick surfaces, and loud noises is possible.li>
• Must always wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with Company standards and governmental regulations.

Physical Demands

• This is a physically arduous position that requires working outside in varying weather types and exposure to the elements.
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Be comfortable at heights of 1000 ft or more.
• Must be willing to work either day or night shifts when necessary.

Travel Requirements

• Occasional travel will be required based on the needs of the project.
• Transportation and lodging are provided while traveling and working out of town for the Company.

Education and Experience

• Trade school or equivalent experience.
• Highschool Diploma or GED Preferred.
• Demonstrate abilities to successfully complete job tasks while accepting full responsibility for the safe operations and maintenance of the vehicle, equipment, and tools.
