Job summary

Ontivity seeks a field installer in Boise, Idaho, to perform tower installations with emphasis on safety and quality. The role involves rigging, hoisting, cabling, labeling, and documentation across multiple locations with travel as needed.

You will install masts, clamps, antennas, RRUs, cabling, and test/verify proper azimuth within tolerances. Strong safety culture and ability to work independently are required.

• Read and understand construction drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications and testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Value safety above all else and perform tower work to ensure safe, high‑quality installations.
• Install equipment such as masts, clamping, bracing, antennas, RRUs, cabling, labeling and documentation.
• Assist with coax, fiber, lines, and hybrid cable installations, testing, and weatherproofing per piping diagrams.
• Complete grounding, terminations, fastenings and antioxidant use; support leads and cad-welding as required.
• Assist with vehicle and tool maintenance, inventory, and related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Must value safety over and above all other considerations
• Perform work on the tower while ensuring that a safe, quality installation is performed, including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, load hopping, etc.
• Install equipment including masts, clamping, bracing, supports, antennas, RRUs, cabling, bolting, assist in shooting proper azimuth within tolerances, labeling, picture-taking, documentation
• At the instruction of Tower Crew Leader, perform coax, fiber, lines, and hybrid cable installations, connector installation, sweep and testing assisting, weather proofing, color-coding, labeling, etc. connect coax feed lines and jumpers per piping diagrams, and support and fasten adequately for a quality, lasting installation
• Complete grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting and antioxidant use, support of leads, cad-welding as required, etc.
• Assist with maintenance of vehicles and equipment, tool inventory, etc.

Qualifications:

• Read and understand construction drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, etc.
• Willing to work independently under limited supervision
• Provide communication and customer service that is white-glove
• Current OSHA 10hr certification is a plus
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements set forth in ANSI Z359 for fall protection gear
• Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid drivers license

Physical Demands:

• Able to pass pre-employment screening that includes backgroundand Motor Vehicle Record check
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening screening and random tests there after
• Must be able to climb and perform work at various heights, up to 400 feet, for long periods of time
• Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes
• Must be able to pull his/her own body weight plus equipment weight up a vertical tower repeatedly for long periods of time
• Must be willing to travel out of market/state, for up to several months at a time
• May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
• Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather
