Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of industry experience.
• Weight and safety gear limits per manufacturer guidelines.
• Comtrain or Tower Climbing Safety Certification required.
• OSHA certification required.
• Experience stacking self-support towers and installing waveguide/antennas.
• RF awareness, coax and weatherproofing knowledge.
• Must report clearly in verbal and written form.

Responsabilidades

• Climb and work on communications towers to install/repair equipment with supervision.

• Identify hazards related to tower climbing and energized lines.
• Climb tall structures (100 feet+) with a 50 lb load.
• Analyze scenarios and select appropriate actions.

• Maintain safety and report hazards promptly.
• Work under close supervision.

Integrated Construction Services, Inc. is currently seeking career minded individuals to work in our rapidly expandingtelecommunications department. IPS isa telecommunications and civil construction services company that offers wireless network operators a variety of services such as Equipment Installation and Commissioning, Civil Construction, and TowerMaintenance.

As a Tower Technician II, you will assist in the construction, installation, and maintenance of communications towers and support structures. Tower Technicians work irregular hours, travel frequently, and work at great heights in extreme weather conditions.

As a Tower Technician II, your responsibilities will include:

• Climbing and working on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment; performs tower maintenance under close supervision.
• The basic use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
• Knowing the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment.
• The ability to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with 50 lb. load.
• Analyzing situations accurately and adopt an appropriate course of action.
• Communicating orally and in writing.
• Following instructions accurately and complete assigned course of action.
• Recognizing safety hazards and performing duties in a safe manner.
• Work under close supervision.

Requirements

• Must have High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have 1 to 3 years of industry experience
• Applicant/Employee weight and tools combined may not exceed 280-pound weight limit as specified by the manufacturer of safety equipment.
• Applicant/Employee waist circumference must not exceed 60 inches measured at the navel as specified by the manufacturer of safety equipment.
• Current Comtrain or equivalent certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue Certification required and willing to be trained as such
• Must have minimum OSHA certification.
• Must have experience stacking self-support towers, install waveguide, antennas and microwave dishes.
• RF Awareness, replacement and maintenance i.e. coax, jumpers, TMA’s, connectors and weatherproofing
• Highly organized and be able to effectively report verbally and written reports back to the Tower Foreman.
• Possession of a valid driver license.
• Applicant must submit to and pass a complete criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen and on going monthly random drug testing.
