Job summary

Nextlink Internet, based in Kansas, is seeking a Tower Technician responsible for installing and maintaining wireless tower site electronics and hardware. The role requires climbing communication towers, performing routine inspections, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and have working knowledge of basic hand tools. This position involves travel, flexible hours, and being on call as required.

Qualifications

• Must pass a drug screening test and a criminal background check.
• Working knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment.
• Ability to climb tall structures up to 500 feet.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, and repair antenna systems equipment.
• Complete JSA before each tower climb and document afterward.
• Inspect telecommunications equipment to identify problems.
