SBA Communications Corporation in Richardson, TX seeks a Tower Crew Lead to supervise and perform construction duties for expedited commercial deployment of services. You will oversee subcontractors and site personnel to complete the scope of work.

Responsibilities include inspecting work, coordinating inspections with local authorities, planning resources, tracking progress, ensuring safety, and training crew members. Travel is nationwide up to 90% and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years tower construction experience; able to read blueprints, specs, and use test equipment.
• 2+ years leadership experience; NWSA/TTT-1 certification preferred.
• English language fluency required; ability to travel up to 90% and lift up to 75 pounds.

Supervise subcontractors and job site personnel to complete scope of work assigned. **What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities*** Inspect and approve all sub-contractor's work.* Schedule and coordinate with all local authorities for required inspections.* Complete work in a timely and efficient manner by planning, prioritizing and mobilizing staff, materials and subcontractors to meet progression schedule.* Ensure Construction Supervisor is apprised of construction progress, concerns and deviations from plans or established schedule.* Identify all materials and other resources needed to complete project.* Coordinate resources to meet construction schedules.* Coordinate delivery and off-loading of towers, materials, generators and shelters.* Identify construction "punch list" of items to be remedied and ensure they are completed prior to customer’s inspection.* Finalize all inspections to close project.* Assign tasks to fellow crew members and perform civil or tower construction activities such as (These preceding items are civil construction activities), stacking towers, testing, positioning antennas, installing antennas, running coax, etc.* Ensure tasks assigned to crew are completed in timely, quality manner.* Train and assist employees in completing tasks. Professionally interact with client’s representatives.* May maintain and enforce all SBA and OSHA safety practices, perform daily jobsite safety inspections on equipment prior to operation. Immediately stops work when unsafe work practices or conditions exist.* Must be able to work overtime to include Saturdays, Sundays and evening hours.* Must be able to satisfactorily complete all aspects of SBA’s Tower U training classes.* Other projects and duties as assigned.**What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements*** H.S. Diploma/GED + and 5+ years tower construction background. Must possess ability to read blueprints, details and specifications, knowledge of Test Equipment, Sweep, PIM & Fiber, and Certification in each, and knowledge of standard knots. + or 2+ years tower construction background and NWSA/TTT-1 Certification, both written and practical. + and 1+ years of leadership experience. + English Language Fluency Required. + Must possess the physical ability to climb to heights of up to 500 feet.* Demonstrated knowledge and intermediate proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.* Domestic Travel 90% of the time and able to operate a company vehicle at the CMV level.* Valid Government Issued Driver's License* Health Services\Drivers License - MDOT Medical Physical Req**Physical Demands and Working Conditions**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
