Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of crane operator experience.
• NCCCO Crane Certification is required.
• DOT Medical Exam is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates tower crane to lift/move construction equipment and materials.
• Signals crane movement via hand signals or radio commands by signaler.
• Ensures operating radius is always defined and in the clear.
• Ensures loads are properly rigged and do not exceed load limits on tower crane.
• Assists in erection, jacking and disassembling of tower crane.
• Inspects periodically and tightens cables and braking mechanisms for wear and replaces cables as needed.
• Inspects and tightens all bolted connections on a regular basis.
• Inspects hydraulic lines for wear and leakage.
• Follows manufacturer’s maintenance requirements on equipment.
