Avis Budget Group is hiring a tow truck operator in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will load, unload, and transport rental vehicles between airport lots and service facilities using a flatbed tow truck, while ensuring safety and accuracy in transport tracking.

You’ll help keep the fleet ready and the customer experience smooth, with a shift premium of 17.50 USD per hour. The role requires 21+ and legal work eligibility in the U.S.

Formación

• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Minimum 2 years of towing experience, including flatbed hauling or wheel-lift tow trucks.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions with moderate noise.
• Flexibility to work all shifts.
• Must be at least 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsabilidades

• Load, unload, and transport rental vehicles between airport lots, maintenance facilities, auto body shops, dealerships, and auctions using a flatbed tow truck.
• Work with a fleet of newer vehicles across multiple makes and models.
• Inspect and maintain tow truck equipment, keep it clean, track transports and time accurately, and follow safety procedures.
• Move vehicles efficiently to help fleet readiness, minimize downtime, and support a smooth customer experience.

What You’ll Do

• You will load, unload, and transport rental vehicles between airport lots, maintenance facilities, auto body shops, dealerships, and auctions by safely operating a flatbed tow truck and related equipment.
• You will work with a fleet of newer vehicles across multiple makes and models, giving you exposure to a wide variety of brands.
• You will inspect and maintain tow truck equipment to ensure it remains clean and in good working order, track transports and time accurately, and follow all safety procedures and driving standards.
• By moving vehicles efficiently and safely, you help ensure fleet readiness, minimize downtime, and support a smooth customer experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Driver’s License
• Minimum 2 years of towing experience, including flatbed hauling or wheel-lift tow trucks
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions with moderate noise levels
• Flexibility to work all shifts
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles
• Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States

This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely.
