Job summary

Jays Chevroelt in Ohio is seeking a Tow Truck Driver to respond to calls from stranded motorists, provide emergency roadside assistance, and recover abandoned vehicles. You will document each call, handle basic invoicing in the field, and collect payments as needed.

The ideal candidate has experience with roadside assistance or basic vehicle repair, has driven a tow truck before, and demonstrates excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold the proper license to operate a tow truck in the state
• Has a clean driving record and can exhibit safe driving skills
• Experience with basic roadside assistance such as changing a tire
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside emergencies within a designated area
• Professionally and accurately assist the client by doing minor repairs, or recovering the vehicle and bringing it to a designated location
• Maintain the tow truck and all of your equipment to ensure a safe working environment
• Maintain excellent records of calls responded to
• Write and present invoices to clients in the field and accept payment as needed
