Acclaim is looking for a TotalJoint Surgeon committed to quality and patient care who is ready to join a highly specialized and collaborative surgical team. The ideal candidate forthis position should be able to effectively collaborate with other providers,patients, therapists, and staff to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.

ThePhysician is responsible for administering and interpreting all aspects ofpatient care, including diagnosis, treatments, surgical interventions, andconsultations within the inpatient and/or outpatient setting. This positionwill also educate patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments;may also conduct physicals, order tests, and serve as a patient’s healthcareprovider

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinates the multidisciplinarycare delivered to all patients to optimize patient care.
  • Reviews patient medical charts todiagnose, treat, and provide care management and education to patients andfamilies.
  • Performs operative andnon-operative management of bone and joint issues.
  • Makes appropriate patientreferrals as necessary.
  • Monitors guidelines for themanagement of care and for ensuring the services are delivered incompliance with the guidelines established by JPS Health Network andAcclaim Physician Group.
  • Provides evidence-based andcompassionate care to all patients as assigned to improve patient outcomesand increase patient satisfaction scores. Demonstrates patient-centeredand patient-valued behavior.
  • Maintains a collaborativeenvironment with other referring physicians, residents, clinical staff,therapists, and support staff to provide quality patient care.
  • Supports academic, educational,and research endeavors.
  • Attends Performance ImprovementPrograms and Peer Review committee meetings and is an active participantin the process.
  • Partners and communicates withacumen to build a positive brand and patient/customer experience for thosewho encounter JPS -Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group. This wouldinclude health network staff, vendors, outside partners, patients,stakeholders, and local community leaders.
  • Serves as a resource to thecommunity.
  • Performs other job-related dutiesas assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
  • Current Medical Doctor (M.D.) orDoctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Completion of an OrthopedicSurgery Residency program.
  • Fellowship training in adultreconstruction and joint replacement.
Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training
  • Current, unrestricted medicallicense to practice in the State of Texas.
  • Board Certification or BoardEligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
