Job summary

Sansum Medical Group, part of Sutter Health, is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Total Joint Replacement Surgeon to join our Santa Barbara multispecialty medical group. This opportunity includes serving as Medical Director of the Total Joint Replacement Program and advancing hip and knee arthroplasty.

You will lead quality initiatives, expand outpatient capabilities, and collaborate with a network of specialists in a state-of-the-art facility, offering a competitive base salary,

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with directly related experience in orthopedic surgery and total joint replacement.
• Fellowship training in adult reconstruction or total joint replacement.
• Demonstrated expertise in primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Current DEA registration.
• California medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Medical Director of an established Total Joint Replacement Program.
• Perform primary and revision hip and knee replacement procedures.
• Lead strategic initiatives focused on quality, clinical outcomes, and program growth.
• Help expand outpatient joint replacement capabilities.
• Build upon an established patient panel with strong community demand.
• Collaborate with a comprehensive network of multispecialty providers.
• Practice within an integrated care model supported by a shared Epic EHR.
• Dedicated Medical Assistant support.
• Perform procedures at the Foothill Ambulatory Surgery Center.
