Job summary

CHRISTUS St. Vincent in Santa Fe, NM, seeks an orthopedic surgeon to join our expanding team with a focus on total joint reconstruction and access to ROSA robotic-assisted surgery.

You will manage preoperative and postoperative care at the main orthopedic clinic and hospital campus, about 2.6 miles apart. The position offers flexible scheduling with potential less-than-full-time arrangements, competitive compensation with RVU upside, a generous sign-on bonus, CME/licensure support, and

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Current and unrestricted medical license.
• Excellent communication and collaborative attitude.
• Prefer 2+ years of experience but new graduates will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre- and post-op patients on clinic days (approx. 24–28).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow-up plans.
• Utilize EPIC EMR in all practice settings.
• Participate in monthly total joint committee meetings.
• Engage in light, phone-based call with shared rotations.
• Provide care at the main clinic and hospital campus (2.6 miles apart).
• Mentor family medicine residents during rotations as coordinated by the clinic manager.
• Receive referrals from internal providers, EDs, urgent care, and community partners across Northern New Mexico.
