Job summary

Capital Health is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon to provide comprehensive musculoskeletal care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat orthopedic conditions, perform surgeries, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role encompasses inpatient rounds, postoperative management, and outpatient clinics, with emphasis on trauma coverage and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency.
• Fellowship training in subspecialty area (optional/if applicable).
• Board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Valid state medical license CDS and DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic orthopedic conditions.
• Perform surgical procedures including fracture care, joint reconstruction, arthroscopy, soft-tissue procedures, and other orthopedic interventions within scope of training.
• Interpret imaging studies including X-rays, MRI, CT, and ultrasound.
• Provide non-operative management where appropriate, including injections, bracing, and physical therapy recommendations.
• Participate in shared call coverage for orthopedic emergencies and trauma cases.
• Document all clinical encounters in a timely and accurate manner per hospital and regulatory standards.
