Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston is seeking a Tortilleria Clerk for Store 039 (Houston Bellaire-Gessner). Under direct supervision, you will help customers, stock and rotate tortilla displays, and assist in making fresh tortillas and masa for the department. The role requires friendly service, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds as needed.

Reading and writing in Spanish and English, teamwork, and a positive attitude are essential. Experience in retail is a plus; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, the Tortilleria Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service.
• This position will assist customers, clean, fill and rotate tortilla displays, as well as assist making a variety of different tortillas and masa for the department.
