Job summary

Cardenas Markets is hiring a Tortilla Clerk to deliver friendly, high‑quality customer service in our store. You’ll weigh and label products, stock displays, and keep the tortilla department clean and safe while upholding company values.

You will greet customers, answer questions, and help ensure accurate pricing and product quality. Prior retail or customer-service experience is helpful, and a valid Food Handlers Card is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site role in California.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Food Handlers Card.
• Customer service and retail experience desirable.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs as required by the job.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and address questions in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Organize products in displays and tables and keep cases stocked.
• Weigh and label products using scales accurately.
• Maintain standards for cleanliness, safety, and department conditions.
• Operate tortilla department equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
