Job summary

Goode Company seeks a Tortilla role at its Houston area kitchen to produce tortillas and support Tex-Mex offerings with disciplined prep and technique. You will own tortilla station tasks, maintain quality, and ensure ready-to-serve items meet exacting standards in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has restaurant experience, can learn detailed recipes, maintain organization and sanitation, and holds a Food Handler Certification.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on restaurant or food-production experience and ability to work at a specialty tortilla station.
• Ability to learn and replicate detailed recipes, techniques, portions and quality standards.
• Strong organization, sanitation, urgency and communication are required.
• Food Handler Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, finish, or portion assigned menu items to recipe and quality standards.
• Mix, portion, press, cook, hold, and replenish tortillas to freshness and quality.
• Set station pars, complete production lists, and maintain readiness for service.
• Monitor texture, flavor, temperature, presentation, yield and product rotation.
• Use tools and equipment safely and keep them clean and in good condition.
• Communicate shortages, quality concerns, timing issues and waste promptly.
• Complete setup, sanitation, breakdown, labeling and closing work thoroughly.
