Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Technical Writer to advance how our customers operate and to build an impactful career in enterprise IT.

You will create, update, and maintain technical documentation, including full schematics, manuals, and procedures to ensure consistency and clarity. You will develop and maintain POA&Ms to support project management, collaborate with engineers, PMs, and SMEs, and ensure documentation complies with policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer.
• Experience in a technology-driven environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or related field.
• Familiarity with Agile or ITIL frameworks.
• Ability to translate technical information into clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain technical documentation including schematics, manuals, and procedures to ensure consistency and clarity.
• Develop and maintain POA&Ms to support project management, workflows, and compliance efforts.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accurate documentation.
• Review and edit existing documentation for accuracy and alignment with current systems or requirements.
