Job summary

IAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, is seeking a Security Monitor 2 to oversee surveillance systems, conduct patrols, and manage access controls in a high-security environment. The role requires vigilance, threat assessment, and adherence to established protocols to protect personnel and assets.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of security monitoring experience in high-security settings, with DCJS training completed within 90 days

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of security monitoring experience in a high-security environment.
• DCJS training required within 90 days of starting duty (VA/MD).

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor to detect unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or security breaches.
• Conduct regular perimeter checks and patrols to protect security infrastructure integrity.
• Track and document incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
• Enforce access control to ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
• Verify IDs and clearances for military personnel, contractors, and visitors.
• Respond quickly to alarms, disturbances, and threats and escalate as needed.
• Assist in emergencies such as evacuations, fires, medical incidents, and active threats.
• Prepare incident reports and brief security supervisors and base command.
