Job summary

Xelas Systems Engineering, LLC is seeking a Top Secret cleared Network Administrator at our Ft. Meade location to oversee daily network operations, configure and test networks, and enforce security policies.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and comprehensive LAN experience. Responsibilities include granting access, diagnosing performance issues, coordinating with security engineers, and hardening architectures to prevent intrusions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a technical field; six years of LAN experience preferred.
• Hands-on networking, routing and switching proficiency required.
• Experience securing networks with firewalls and VPNs; able to document configurations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day to day network operations including planning, configuration, testing and operation of customer networks.
• Grant user access to networks and develop/maintain security policies.
• Diagnose and resolve network performance issues; document configurations and security posture.
• Coordinate with security engineers; audit configurations and integrate new technologies into existing LANs.
• Monitor network availability and harden architectures against failures and intrusions.
