Job summary

SMX is seeking a Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and cloud-native solutions in a collaborative, agile environment. You will work on Java/Angular stack, containerized with Docker, and build backend services with Kafka, Cognito, and Temporal.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of full-stack experience, plus active Top Secret clearance. AWS and Security+ certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or related field.
• 3 years of full-stack software development experience.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience with Java development and Angular framework.
• Proficient in containerization with Docker.
• Familiar with Kafka, Cognito, Temporal, and USGIS libraries.
• Strong teamwork and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• AWS certification and Security+ certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform code development tasks using Java and Angular following established standards.
• Develop applications within a containerized environment using Docker.
• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations with Kafka, Cognito, and Temporal.
• Work with teams implementing applications in a Java stack, potentially with Oracle database.
• Utilize DevSecOps pipelines for CI/CD.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
