Qualifications

• Experience in cost analysis or quantitative analytics (economic analytics, statistics, regression).
• Strong ability to analyze datasets and build statistical models.
• Translate data into government cost impacts and communicate with multiple teams.
• Proven problem solver in ambiguous environments and able to lead financial conversations.
• Able to work across projects and take direction from multiple sources.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cost analysts and SMEs on various projects.
• Develop life cycle cost estimates for DoD weapon system programs.
• Analyze historical data and create cost estimation relationships using regression.
• Understand technology trends and their impact on cost.
• Evaluate software project progress with JIRA/TFS and derive metrics.
• Interview specialists to support estimating methodology development.
• Develop risk distributions for cost drivers and COTS cost equations.
• Analyze program schedules and quantify schedule uncertainty.
• Study and develop metrics for modern software development programs.
• Build complex spreadsheet-based cost models for decision analysis.
• Apply statistics to quantify probability of budget/schedule success.
• Conduct business case analyses, trade studies and economic analyses.
• Assist managers in contract strategies and program plans.
