Job summary

Northrop Grumman – Xetron in Cincinnati is seeking cleared mid-level software engineers to tackle national security challenges. You will work on kernel development, reverse engineering, and network-focused software, collaborating across teams to deliver robust solutions.

The role requires strong C/C++ skills, experience with SDLC, and the ability to handle complex security systems. This position offers a 9/80 schedule and opportunities for growth within Mission Systems.

Qualifications

• B.S. in CS/CE with 8 years; M.S. with 6 years; Ph.D with 4 years.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• Demonstrated C/C++ programming experience.
• Experience with SDLC.
• Experience in kernel mode/embedded/network apps.
• Develop lower-level networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP).
• Knowledge of return-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with debugging tools (Wireshark, IDA Pro, OllyDbg, WinDbg).

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions to national security threats, incl. kernel development and vulnerability research.
• Perform reverse engineering and network programming tasks.
• Design communications software and protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SSL).
• Collaborate across software development life cycle teams.
