Job summary

Employee Magnets is seeking an Engineer - Tools Mgmt. Specialist to oversee the selection, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of engineering tools and software across design, simulation, testing, and related workflows.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors in Engineering; Masters or tools-management certs are a plus.
3–5 years in tools management, engineering, or IT support in technical/manufacturing settings.
Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM and ERP systems; able to troubleshoot and optimize tools.

Responsibilities

Tool selection and evaluation for design, simulation, testing, and engineering functions.
Lead tool implementation and integration with existing workflows and systems.
Maintain and support tools; troubleshoot issues and train end-users.
Monitor tool performance and drive optimization improvements.
Document configurations, usage guidelines, and troubleshooting procedures.
Collaborate with engineering, IT, and procurement; ensure alignment with goals.
Ensure compliance with standards and security; manage software licensing.
Monitor tool-related costs and assist with budgeting.
