Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Department Lead to drive efficient department operations and exceptional customer service. You will oversee scanning outs, inventory, pricing changes, and planogram execution while maintaining clean, attractive displays.

You will lead team efforts, train associates, and ensure adherence to merchandising standards, with a focus on quality service and safety across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail experience in a department lead role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated adaptability to changing priorities and challenges.
• Experience applying a flexible mindset to ambiguity and uncertainty.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scanning outs, inventory management, recovery, price changes, and planogram sets.
• Maintain department cleanliness and signage per indoor merchandising guide.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock from backroom/top stock.
• Coordinate and execute price changes with relevant teams.
• Ensure products are arranged per company guidelines to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
• Provide friendly, proactive internal and external support to customers and team members.
• Operate front-end tasks as needed and support cross-training across departments.
