Apple Inc. is seeking a Tools and Automation Mechatronics Engineer in Cupertino, California to develop cutting-edge touch solutions. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to automate validation of capacitive touch sensing modules and design testing setups for various Apple devices.

The Touch Technology team develops cutting‑edge Touch solutions and technologies that are central to Apple’s products, including the iPhone, iPads, AppleWatch, and more. You will play a key role in developing electromechanical test systems for hardware validation, and ensuring that the Touch Technology team delivers the world’s best multi‑touch user experience.
You will design and implement test setups and procedures to automate validation of capacitive touch sensing modules. This can include custom PCBs and mechanical fixtures, as well as robotic systems. You’ll be capable of analyzing the requirements of an evolving product portfolio, working closely with a cross‑functional team of engineering disciplines, while identifying opportunities to define a common testing approach where possible.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $126,800 and $220,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
