The ideal candidate must hold a Journeyman classification or equivalent experience and will verify dimensions, confirm die performance, and resolve assembly issues. The position involves dynamically engaging in production activities, following safety protocols, and ensuring the quality of the finished product.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be able to obtain a Journeyman classification in the trade as Toolmaker.
• Have served a bona fide apprenticeship or have eight years of practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and optimizes production tooling while attaining safety, quality, and production goals.
• Verifies dimensions, clearances, and alignment of parts and components.
• Confirms performance of die by making adjustments as necessary.
• Resolves assembly problems to meet specifications.
• Perform die repair, inspection, and troubleshooting to ensure defect-free products.
• Answer production calls and make repairs as needed.
• Disassembles tooling to be repaired or sharpened.
• Sharpens die sections and punches.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE as indicated.
• Safely operate overhead cranes for transporting dies.
