Job summary

Reich Tool seeks a skilled Toolmaker for die maintenance, repair, and projects on the 1st shift. You will lead diverse tasks from kickoff to delivery, coordinating with CNC, Wire EDM, Toolroom, and Inspection teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in tool & die, strong GD&T and blueprint reading, and CAD experience with SolidWorks/AutoCAD. This is a hands-on leadership role in a family-owned shop serving aerospace, defense, medical, and advanced

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years hands-on experience in tool & die environments.
  • Experience running CNC or Wire EDM.
  • Experience leading projects and coordinating work.
  • Proven ability to build/repair metal stamping die components, fixtures, and assemblies.
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
  • CAD proficiency with SolidWorks/AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead projects from kickoff to delivery, managing timelines, priorities, and resources.
  • Schedule incoming work with the Tool & Die Supervisor and distribute tasks.
  • Coordinate workflow with CNC, Wire EDM, Toolroom, Waterjet, and Inspection departments.
  • Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering specifications; communicate technical requirements.
  • Support or participate in new die build projects.
  • Update CAD design changes and submit to the design department as required.
  • Ensure all paperwork and records are completed accurately and on time.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience in a tool & die environment.
  • Experience running CNC or Wire EDM
  • Experience leading projects, coordinating work, and managing priorities
  • Proven ability to build and repair metal stamping die components, fixtures, and assemblies
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T
  • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD)
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals geometry and trigonometry
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
