AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to build and repair fixtures, jigs, and tooling for surgical instrumentation and implants in Southington, CT. You will read blueprints, set up CNC centers, and ensure parts meet print specifications.

This role includes training new Toolmakers and Apprentices, maintaining a clean, safe work area, and documenting processes according to procedures.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints or work from verbal or written instructions.
• Experience with CAD/CAM and fixture/tooling production.
• Ability to train new Toolmakers and Apprentices.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret blueprints or work from verbal or written instructions.
• Produce jigs and assembly fixtures and tooling with no instruction for use with surgical instrumentation and implants.
• Set-up & Operate CNC machining centers as well as manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and other tool room equipment as necessary.
• Ensure all fixtures, assemblies, and tools are inspected to print and documented per procedures.
• Troubleshoot problems with equipment and fixturing and perform re-work as needed.
• Complete preventative maintenance on equipment and maintain a safe clean work area.
