Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Tooling Toolmaker for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7am-3pm) in Decorah, IA.

The role focuses on reading blueprints, using gages and tooling equipment to create and rework header and secondary tooling for fastener manufacturing, with a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities include setting up dies per prints, maintaining tooling, reading production prints, and supporting header operators while ensuring quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong mechanical ability and basic math skills.
• Knowledge of IATF16949 and ISO14001 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and use gages/equipment to make and rework tooling per prints.
• Operate and maintain toolroom equipment to meet quality targets.
• Set up header tooling and ensure prints tolerance adherence with minimal supervision.
• Interpret tooling/production prints and prepare tools to meet tolerances.
• Follow safety guidelines and take part in preventative maintenance.
