As an Equipment Repair Technician (SETS) you will perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repair on shop equipment and tools within your assigned geographical area at Penske service facilities. This entry‑level role involves 10‑hour shifts, four days a week, Monday through Thursday. Your success will positively impact our maintenance facility operations, technicians, supervisors, and service managers, contributing to overall business success.
A typical day includes driving a SETS truck, interacting with technicians, maintenance supervisors, and service managers while completing the inspection process digitally. You will capture needed information to automate approval, summary reporting, and inventory management. Depending on location, you may return home the same day or continue to the next location and return home on weekends. You will collaborate regularly with the Tooling & Service Bay Technology team to identify process and tooling improvements.
We are looking for candidates with strong automotive or heavy‑duty technical knowledge about tools and equipment, process‑driven mindset, and the ability to listen to multiple perspectives.
